The Church shall hold firmly to the following doctrines as fundamental truth:

  1. The one true God is the Creator of heaven and earth and of all things created, including mankind; He is eternally self-existing in three persons—Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
  2. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, the Word incarnate, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified and died on the cross to atone for the sins of man. Jesus Christ was resurrected, ascended into Heaven, and is the only mediator between God and man.
  3. The Holy Spirit is the Counselor to all believers. He convicts people of sin and leads them to repentance. He abides forever with believers, leads them into the truth, and sanctifies them.
  4. The entire Holy Bible, consisting of sixty-six books, is the inspired Word of God and is without error in the original writings. It is perfect truth, unchangeable, and is the divine and final authority for doctrine and deed.
  5. Man was created in the image of God, but is depraved because of his sin.  Man must be born again by the Holy Spirit through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation and for the forgiveness of sin.
  6. Because man was created in the image of God and because of the ineffable love for us expressed by God in offering His only son, Jesus Christ, to die the sacrificial death for all men, it is our belief that the sanctity of life is inviolable.  Accordingly, our responsibility is to help preserve life to the best of our ability, to not destroy life casually.
  7. The Church universal is the body of Christ, who is its head. The Church is the family of God, consisting of all born again Christians.
  8. The only God ordained and legitimate marriage is that of a sacred and permanent covenant relationship between one man and one woman, symbolizing the union of Christ and his Church.  No intimate sexual activity is to be engaged in outside the marriage of a man and a woman.
  9. The Lord Jesus Christ will come again to establish the eternal kingdom.  On the last day, all men shall be resurrected, the believer resurrected unto eternal life, and the unbeliever resurrected unto eternal destruction.
